Rohit Sharma introduced Hardik Pandya into the attack in the 11th over. On the very second delivery of his over, Shubman Gill who was stationed at deep square leg, dropped an easy catch as opener Travis Head tried to pull the short ball. Gill moved towards his right but could not collect the ball, giving four runs.

Seeing this miss, while Rohit was left in disbelief, Hardik Pandya too dropped a reaction.  The bowler and vice-captain Hardik Pandya gave a stare to Shubman Gill for dropping this catch over square leg.

However, Pandya drew the first blood in Travis Head after Australia stitched a 68-run opening partnership. Hardik Pandya has looked n sublime touch as the deputy dismissed Australian skipper Steven Smith at duck in his second over and then dismissed in-form batter Mitchell Marsh to complete three-in-three.
