Team India began their Asia Cup 2022 campaign with a five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in a thrilling match. During the match , Indian all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were seen having a heat-up conversation as Pandya seemed to be scolding Jadeja.

During India's batting, Pakistani bowlers sent top three Indian batters back to the pavilion in 10 overs and removed in-form Surya Kumar Yadav in the 15th over. Indian all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya took the charge and helped Team India register their first win of the Asia Cup 2022.

Ravindra Jadeja was promoted ahead of Surya Kumar Yadav in the batting order and justified the decision.  However, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were involved in a small argument where the former was seen scolding the latter during drinks break in the 18th over.

Batting first, Pakistan were restricted to 147 runs in 19.5 overs as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya picked four and three wickets respectively. While chasing the target, Pakistan took early wicket of KL Rahul on the second ball of the Indian innings. However, Virat Kohli (35) and Ravindra Jadeja (35) kept scoring runs for India in the middle overs.

Hardik Pandya's brilliant cameo of 33 runs off 17 balls delivered the win for the Men in Blue. Indian will next face Hong Kong, who defeated UAE to qualify for the continental showpiece, on August 31 at the Dubai International Stadium.
