Sheldon Cottrell's salute celebration, Dwayne Bravo's champion dance, Tabraiz Shamsi's Shoe phone celebration are some of the best we have seen. But Pakistan's Haris Rauf went a step ahead and brought up a unique celebration in the ongoing Big Bash League.
The Melbourne Stars pacer celebrated his wicket against Perth Scorchers in a totally different manner, keeping the current situation in mind. After dismissing Scorchers' Kurtis Patterson, Rauf brought up the 'Dettol out' celebration. The pacer immediately gestured using a hand sanitizer and then put on a mask on his face reminding everyone to follow the COVID protocols. Talking about the dismissal, it was a good length delivery outside the off-stump line. Patterson tried to play an attacking shot in the extra cover region but ended up edging it behind to the wicket-keeper.

Scorchers set 197 run target for Stars
Despite an early blow from Haris Rauf, Perth Scorchers managed a really good total as they put 196 on the board. Some fireworks from Laurie Evans and captain Ashton Turner helped Scorchers accumulate 117 runs from the last 10 overs. While Evans scored a 46 ball 69, Turner got a quickfire 47 off 26. Nick Hobson and Aaron Hardie too chipped in with crucial 46 and 15 respectively. Meanwhile, for Melbourne Stars, Haris Rauf claimed two wickets while Adam Zampa got one.

Starting the chase for Stars, Nick Larkin got out cheaply. He was bowled by Matthew Kelly. However, Stars have the firepower to chase the big total. Joe Clarke has been in good touch in the past few games while the Big Show is also there. Stars will expect some quick runs from Joe Burns as well.
Talking about the performance in this tournament, Perth Scorchers have been dominant with nine wins from 11 played games. On the other hand, Melbourne Stars are languishing in the bottom half of the table with five losses from nine played games. They are only above Adelaide Strikers who have lost eight games. If Stars manage a win here against Scorchers, they will gain significantly.
