After being restricted to the score of 124, Mumbai Indians needed a strong start. Here Harmanpreet Kaur, stationed at the slips, dove to her right and completed a  one-handed stunner in  Hayley Matthews's first over and sent back  Devika Vaidya at the score of just one.

But after the catch, the UP Warriorz managed to recover from the early damage and go on to win the game in a thrilling fashion. After Vaidya's dismissal, Tahlia McGrath and Grace Harris composed the innings as they stitched up a crucial partnership.

Then to finish off the game, the Warriorz still required last-over heroics from Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma. UP clinched the win thanks to  Ecclestone's towering six. After the game,  Sharma won the Player of the match award and praised her team for an important win.

She said, "I knew with Sophie at the other end we can get over the line, so I just wanted to take it deep and finish. It was slightly better to bat than the first innings. Credit to the entire team. With the ball and then McGrath and Harris with the bat. We were focusing on the positives than the negatives and backing each other."
