The IPL 2023 fixture between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad was witness to a terrific fielding effort which could have been considered the catch of the season courtesy of SRH batter Harry Brook. This feat of athleticism occurred at the start of the 10th over as  Mitchell Marsh slogged  Mayank Markande towards long-on.

Here, the 24-year-old Brook perfectly timed his jump to pluck out the ball with his long right arm and avoided the six. But in the process, the Englishman caught the ball too close to the boundary and threw away the ball too far from him, which didn't allow him to complete the catch. The fielding effort also got a gesture of appreciation from  Mitchell Marsh as well.

But this life wasn't enough for Mitchell Marsh and the Delhi Capitals as they eventually fell short, suffering a nine-run loss. After the match, Marsh was deemed the Player of the Match as he scored a stunning 63 in 39 balls and picked four wickets while giving away 27 runs in the first innings.

Reacting to this performance, Marsh said,  "Took me a few games to get going, but a disappointing loss. Had that nice partnership with Salt but not enough to get over the line. The wicket did slow down a bit, but I think it was a case of us chasing 20 too many either way. And they were really good. It was all about getting the boundaries and applying the pressure. Certainly lots of positives from today, we've lost a few close ones. We've been on the wrong end of a few but we do feel there is a long way to go in this tournament. Time to start winning a few."
