In the second T20I of the five-match series, which is currently being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy bamboozled the English batter Harry Brook for the second consecutive time with a wrong’un. After losing his stumps to Chakravarthy once again in the T20I series, Brook could only muster up a sheepish smile at the Indian bowler before walking back to the pavilion.

After being put into bat first by the Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav in Chennai, England lost the big wicket of Phil Salt in the first over once again as Arshdeep Singh did for him before his opening partner Ben Duckett was dismissed cheaply as well. Harry Brook arrived at the crease in the fourth over of the England innings, and after the power play stage was completed, he was facing up against Varun Chakravarthy.

Harry Brook scored 13 runs in eight balls before Varun Chakravarthy dismissed him

On the first ball bowled by Chakravarthy to Brook, which was a wrong’un delivered on the shorter side, the right-handed batter tried to play it off the front foot, but he couldn’t reach the pitch of it. The ball found the big gap between bat and pad before crashing into the top of middle and off stump, signalling the end of Harry Brook’s short innings, in which he scored only 13 runs in eight balls with one four and a six.
