The SupFormer flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo is all set to make a comeback in the cage as his manager has confirmed that Triple C will face Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight strap and that the two have agreed to a bout in 2023.
Meanwhile, the former bantamweight champion was recently 'assaulted' by none other than social media sensation Hasabulla . The celebrity met Cejudo on a visit to Chechnya. Notably, the former flyweight champion accompanied Kamaru Usman and Justin Gaethje upon the invitation of Ramazan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic. According to Cejudo's Insta post, Hasabula can be seen punching, kneeing and elbowing Cejudo, while the latter responded hilariously. The former UFC star urged the Russian to ink a contract to fight him.
"WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. Here is footage of @hasbulla.hushetskiy blatantly assaulting me. I will not press charges as long as he SIGNS THE DAMN CONTRACT. It's time to settle this once and for all. I AM COMING FOR YOU, HASBULLA!!!" Cejudo captioned his Insta post. In response, Hasbulla demanded Cejudo to release the complete footage: 'why didn't you expose where I smeared you? You expose where you hit me.'
Meanwhile, Henry Cejudo's manager and Dominance MMA co-founder, Ali Abdelaziz, recently confirmed that the former bantamweight champion will return to the UFC, next year. Abdelaziz said that 'Triple C' will has finalised the fight against Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight strap and that the two have agreed to a bout in 2023. In a recent interview with MMA Underground, Abdelaziz spoke to John Morgan and said he could not wait for Triple C to come back.
"I like Aljo, he is a good friend. Aljo is fighting Henry Cejudo; it's done. It's just that the UFC said it's done; I understand that Sterling wants a different fight, but Cejudo never lost his belt. He is a two-time champion, defended both belts, and left on his own," he said.
