Pakistan made a remarkable recovery in the first innings of the match against South Africa. The Men in Green were reeling at 44/4 but a brilliant innings from Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan powered Pakistan to 185 in 20 overs. While Iftikhar scored 51 off 35 balls, Shadab scored a brisk 20-ball fifty to shift the momentum towards Pakistan.
While the duo played many eye-catching shots, Iftikhar's six against Lungi Ngidi stole the limelight as it turned out to be the biggest six of the tournament. Iftikhar slapped the length ball bowled by Ngidi towards long-on for a monster 106m six.

Middle-order rescues Pakistan once again!
Pakistan were once again in a spot of bother after losing their top order inside the powerplay. Skipper Babar Azam was once again a no-show as he scored 6 off 15 deliveries. Mohammad Haris' innings was the highlight in the first 10 overs of the innings as he scored 28 in just 11 balls. However, South Africa regained the control after picking the wicket of Haris. But a blinder knock from Shadab and Iftikhar, rain and some misfielding just turned the tide in Pakistan's favour as the Men in Green finished with 185.
