Indian men's football coach Igor Stimac has been sent off for the second time in SAFF Championship 2023 during the game against Kuwait. The Croatian coach previously received a red card in India's opening fixture against Pakistan which the Blue Tigers won 4-0.

Coming back to the game against Kuwait, Stimac was already on a yellow card for arguing with the official at the 62-minute mark. Then 28 minutes later, Stimac once again got into an argument with the officials and was seen angry talking to the fourth official. Moments later, the 55-year-old was shown the red card and he eventually left the pitch after another minor argument.

Minutes later in the game, another fight breaks up as two more red cards are shown to India's  Rahim Ali and  Alqallaf of Kuwait.  Alqallaf had floored  Sumit Sahel and then pushed away by Ali.

Reacting to draw, Sunil Chhetri said,  "It's not Anwar, it's the country who conceded. It's an own goal. It can happen to anyone. We're all professional enough to not talk about it."

"I hope the kid shrugs it off. We have his back. Don't take technical mistakes seriously. We work on effort. I've missed silly goals I shouldn't have missed. Someone might make a silly challenge and we'll get a penalty. It happens in football. India conceded the goal, not Anwar."
