The inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals could not repeat the results of IPL 2008 on Sunday evening when they took on debutant Gujarat Titans in the summit clash of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Royals maintained a good run in the cash-rich league and showed tremendous potential on the back of impressive performances from the players.

While Jos Buttler returned with the Orange Cap after scoring maximums runs, Yuzvendra Chahal bagged the Purple Cap for being the highest wicket-taker. As the month-long tournament has concluded and overseas players have started returning to their homes, Rajasthan Royals shared a video of R Ashwin signing the jersey of Jos Buttler after the final clash on Sunday evening (May 29) in Ahmedabad.

Notably, the inclusion of R Ashwin in the Rajasthan franchise during the two-day mega auction created a lot of buzz due to the rough history between both the players in the past.

Notably, the Indian off-spinner had Mankaded Jos Buttler during the IPL 2019 edition. As Mankad became the legal form of dismissal, both the players too moved on and sorted out their differences and led the Royals to the final of IPL 2022.

Speaking of the repo between them, Royals CEO Jake Lush McCrum reportedly stated that both the players are mature enough to understand the need of the hour, and as they will spend some time in nets, everything will be fine. “Maybe he will have to practice in the nets with him. But otherwise, on the field, they’re looking forward to playing together,” he added.
