631* Test wickets in 166* games. Even before the description of the beauty with which James Anderson makes the ball talk comes to his introduction, the stats of the English bowler are enough for one to understand that he is one of the greatest fast bowlers the world has ever witnessed. The swing of Anderson is world-famous for troubling the batsmen, even for those from the elite class, however, his dedication for the game, especially for the red-ball format has always been one to watch.

While his friendly chat with Virat Kohli while walking back to the pavilion during Lunch in the ongoing fourth Test showed his sport spirit, Anderson's recent resolve has crossed all the limits, as one may run out of adjectives for the premium pacer, considering his amazing act.

Bowling in the game, Anderson slipped during his run-up on the last ball of the 40th over of India's innings. The 39-year-old failed to escape unscathed from there and hurt his knee in the process. Many thought he might rest in the dug-out and let other bowlers take his end. However, to everyone's surprise, Anderson came to bowl his next over and kept bowling despite a bleeding knee.

England dominate session 2 as well

After having an amazing session 1 (India - 54/3), the English pacers made sure the guests get no relief in the second session as well. Resuming the innings, first Ravindra Jadeja fell to Chris Woakes on his individual score of 10 off 34 balls. Kohli, then followed the southpaw with a 50 off 96, Ollie Robinson claimed the wicket. Soon Craig Overton dismissed Ajinkya Rahane to see India tottering at 117/6. By the time umpires called for Tea, India were 122/6 with Rishabh Pant (4*) and Shardul Thakur (4*) at the crease.

Talking about Anderson in particular, he got the wicket of Cheteshwar Pujara in the first session. The pacer is just 2 wickets shy of taking 100 wickets against India in the format on England soil. It is worth noting that with his appearance in the ongoing game, Anderson broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar for playing most home Test matches. Anderson has 95 such games to his credit now.
