The ongoing match between England and Iran saw a freak accident on the pitch as Iraninan goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand collided with teammate Majid Hosseini while saving the cross pass. The incident happened during the 8th minute when Beiranvand was trying to catch the ball after Harry Kane's cross. 

While both  Beiranvand and Hosseini fell on the ground after colliding, the latter eventually got up. However, Beiranvand suffered a bleeding nose and was having trouble standing up. The physios tried to take the keeper away but he was adamant to continue. 

However, Beiranvand wasn't comfortable and was eventually stretched off.

Fans not happy with medical staff

While Iran made a concussion substitution after the nasty head collision, fans were not happy with the medical staff as they didn't take the decision earlier. Notably, after the collision, Beiranvand stayed on the pitch for 15 minutes. The netizens questioned the medical staff of Iran and bashed them for taking so long to take the keeper off the pitch despite knowing that he was suffering from concussion.
