Isaiah Thomas recently signed a 10-day contract with the Charlotte Hornets and was immediately part of their roster. Thomas recently scored 46 points in the NBA G-League for the Grand Rapids Gold and was called up for the third time this season. The Buzz City travelled to the Cleveland Cavaliers where Thomas once again got a chance to showcase his skills.
However, the Hornets dominated throughout the game and registered a clinical 119 - 98 victory, their guard Terry Rozier scored 29 points with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Kelly Oubre also contributed 19 points off the bench. But the highlight was Isaiah Thomas who scored 10 quickfire points in just 14 minutes. Isaiah Thomas looked like his former self as he navigated through the tall Cleveland bodies and scored a scoop layup, ending the game with 10 points which included five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Charlotte Hornets coach James Borrego also talked about Isaiah Thomas’ impact on the team as a vocal leader and also as a mentor to first time All-star Lamelo Ball. Borrego commented, "Leadership, poise, confidence. He provides all of that," referring to the 33-year-old guard. Isaiah Thomas also has had ten-day contracts with teams like the Los Angeles Lakers where he scored 19 points in 22 minutes in his first game. Then he was picked up by the Dallas Mavericks where he played once and scored six points.
Lacklustred Cavaliers at home
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a pathetic performance against the Hornets at home. They failed to outscore Charlotte in every quarter. The former had a huge positive entering the game as their All-star guard Darius Garland returned from injury but the Cavaliers have lost five of their last six games as a positive season continues to go down.
