Ja Morant continues to push the Memphis Grizzlies on a historic run in the 2021-22 NBA season. The Grind City is now two games away from winning an incredible playoff series. Morant became the first Memphis player to have a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the playoffs.

In this triple-double performance, Morant also had three blocks against Minnesota and for one of his blocks, he jumped over the rim to squat away Anthony Edwards floater in the third quarter. Grizzlies won the game 104-95 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

In the post-match interview, Ja Morant was charged up as he said, “I'm disrespectful just like they are disrespectful," Morant said. "That's why you see I threw that ball in the air. I asked for the ball. That was our goal. Come in, win games on the road, have the fans go home mad," Morant said. "It probably will be a lot of people drinking tonight with that L."

He also praised his teammates Brandon Clarke and Tyus Jones who played key roles in this victory. He said, “They pretty much won the game for us. Tyus is the point god … we’re really the deepest team in the league.”

Timberwolves players were disappointed with the result. ''When we get too high, it comes back and it haunts us,'' said D'Angelo Russell, who scored 22 points and eight assists. Similarly, “'No one said it as going to be easy. We don't want it to be easy. We want it to be extremely hard, and it was,”' said Patrick Beverley, who scored 14 points.
