Jake Paul, the YouTube star and boxer, has made a bold prediction on Sean O'Malley right in front of his opponent Aljamain Sterling, the UFC bantamweight champion. Paul wagered $2000 on O'Malley to defeat Sterling in their upcoming title fight at UFC 292 on August 19. Paul made the bet during his podcast 'BS w/ Jake Paul', where he had Sterling as a guest.

The two men discussed Paul's boxing match against Nate Diaz on August 5. However, things got awkward when Paul's co-host reminded him of his prediction for Sterling vs. O'Malley. Paul admitted that he was backing O'Malley, his close friend and fellow influencer, to win the bantamweight belt.

The influencer said, “I have to go with Sean because it's my boy. It's my boy. It's not anything against you [Aljamain Sterling], it's just, I have loyalty... That's just how I am. I've known Sean since three years ago. At the end of the day, I think it'll be a good fight.”

Sterling, who was sitting next to Paul, did not seem too bothered by the bet. He said that he respected Paul's opinion and that he was confident in his own abilities and also that he was looking forward to facing O'Malley, who he considered a tough and exciting opponent.

Sterling vs. O'Malley is set to headline UFC 292 at the TD Garden Arena in Boston on August 19. The fight will be Sterling's first title defence since he won the belt by disqualification against Petr Yan at UFC 259 in March. O'Malley earned his title shot by knocking out Marlon Vera at UFC 260 in May.
