The England speedster has only got better with time and even after picking over 600 Test wickets, his appetite for more success and his passion to perform makes the right-arm speedster one of the finest in the world. The 38-year-old is also working extra hard on his fitness to give his best for the three lions and his enviable waistline along with his muscles can shame some of the younger cricketers around the world.
On Saturday, the right-arm fast bowler displayed once again why he is such a highly reputed bowler. Although Jimmy hadn’t got a wicket in the first hundred overs of the New Zealand innings in the ongoing second Test match at Edgbaston, the third ball of the 106th over finally ended this drought as he bowled a delightful delivery that helped him get rid of Neil Wagner for a duck.
Jimmy got the ball to seam in from outside off to beat Wagener’s bat as the ball ricocheted from his pads onto the stumps. The crowd cheered for Anderson, who is now just two wickets behind Anil Kumble’s tally of 619 Test wickets.

Moreover, Anderson is even on the brink of reaching 1000 First-class wickets.
“1,000 wickets does seem like a lot. In this day and age, I don’t know if it’s possible to get that many first-class wickets anymore. With the amount of cricket that’s played, there doesn’t seem to be that longevity in bowlers anymore, and there’s loads of T20 cricket and whatever else going on around the world. It feels a lot," Anderson had said prior to the match.
