Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has played since September due to a back injury. The pacer hence also missed the T20 World Cup as he couldn’t regain his fitness on time. But now Bumrah has provided a big update on his injury status. The Gujarat-born pacer shared a video of his intense training session on Friday.

In the clip, Bumrah can be seen performing multiple drills at an indoor training facility. The video was on his social media platforms and was captioned saying, “Never easy, but always worth it 💪.”

2022 has not been a disappointing year for Bumrah. Earlier in August, Bumrah suffered a stress reaction. Because of this issue, he couldn’t participate in the Asia Cup later that month. Bumrah was set to come back for the T20 World Cup and got a chance to play the T20 series against Australia. The 28-year-old played two matches against Australia in the T20Is but he was once again ruled out of the next series against South Africa citing back pain.

After the back issue, Bumrah was rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru but was not 100% ready for the T20 World Cup. In Bumrah’s absence, Indian bowlers struggled a lot at the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. India exited the Asia Cup at the Super Four stage.

The Men in Blue missed Bumrah’s bowling at the death which became a huge point of concern for the team management. The Indian bowling suffered a similar fate in the T20 World Cup in Australia as they suffered a humiliating 10-wicket defeat in the semis against England.
