Indian women's legendary pacer Jhulan Goswami has shared the behind-the-scene moments from her biopic "Chakda Xpress" on Monday. The clips showed the first look of Anushka Sharma donning the Indian jersey to portray the 39-year-old pacer's role.
The movie, which is directed by Prosit Roy, revolves around the story of the Indian ace Jhulan Goswami. Anushka Sharma will make her debut on the OTT platform Netflix with this movie about Jhulan Goswami's journey.
The video showed Anushka in different situations, recovering from an injury, sitting in a locker room and more while the film's director stressed to project an honest story of Jhulan Goswami. In the video, Prosit Roy said, "It is about Jhulan's journey from small town Chakda, all the way to the World Cup finalsas."
Jhulan took to her official Twitter handle to share the video and captioned, " Striking the perfect balance between facts and fiction is a difficult feat but @prositroy makes it look like a walk in the p̶a̶r̶k̶ stadium. Catch @anushkasharma ’s @netflix_in debut in Chakda Xpress. Coming soon! "
Notably, this is the first movie in four years for Anushka as an actor who is the wife of former India captain Virat Kohli.
