Joe Root is currently in India, playing the IPL for the first time in his career as he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for his base price of INR 1 Crore. The Englishman hasn't yet got a chance to show his batting prowess, but he certainly made his debut on social media as he is seen dancing to the famous Hindi song ‘Bharose tere pyaar te’ with RR leggie Yuzvendra Chahal.

The leg spinner, who is often known for his social media presence, is seen grooving alongside Root in a video shared by their IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. The Royals captioned the post, “ Welcome to IPL (Yuzi style) Roooot!” with a laughing emoji and a heart emoji.

The video not only went viral but also garnered various reactions from netizens. While a Twitter user pleaded the RR admin to not milk Joe Root for content, to which the admin replied that they are just holding the camera and not forcing them to dance, a few others were left in awe seeing the English batter dance.

Check out the reactions:

Joe Root had earlier jokingly said in an interview that he would avoid Chahal despite him taking good care of him since arrival. The ex-England captain said that he has faced Chahal for many years but never really got a chance to know him.

Talking about the team’s performance so far in the competition, RR have had a mixed start as they have won one and lost one. The Sanju Samson-led side will next lock horns with Delhi Capitals at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on April 8.
