Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler torches Basil Thampi for 26 runs in the third over of the match. The Mumbai Indians took an early advantage as they dismissed Yashaswi Jaiswal at the score of one. But then the former MI player smashed Basil Thampi for 26 runs to put the Royals back in the driver’s seat.

Jos Buttler has always loved batting against the Mumbai Indians as he scored 89 off 43 balls in the IPL 2019. The Royals were chasing a massive total of 188 where Butler showed his class.

The 2019 World Cup winner batted with a strike rate of 206.98 and hit nine four and nine sixes. Like Thampi’s over in today’s match, the Englishman hit West Indian fast bowler Alzzari Joesph for 28 runs in the 13th over of the match.

The 31-year-old was part of the Mumbai Indians for two seasons in 2016 and 2017, where he lifted the IPL trophy in 2017. Jos Buttler scored 272 runs with an average of 27.20 and a strike rate of 153.67. His highest score in that season was 77 in 37 balls against the then Kings XI Punjab.
