In the Premier League clash between Brighton and Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho was denied a certain goal after Joshua Zirzkee, who was clearly offside, touched it over the line. During the stoppage time of this pulsating match at the Amex Stadium, Brighton, who could have been behind earlier, got a winner via Joao Pedro, to register a 2-1 victory.

The key moment in the contest happened in the 70th minute after Bruno Fernandes’ through ball from the right was put towards the goal by Alejandro Garnacho, but for the knee touch from an overzealous Joshua Zirkzee on the line. The VAR swift got into the act to rule the transgression from the Dutchman, leaving him in utter disbelief.

It meant that Manchester United couldn’t get ahead 2-1, only for Joao Pedro to score a late winner in the 95th minute.

Earlier, the first half saw the hosts Brighton take a 1-0 lead when former Manchester United player Danny Welbeck scored in the 32nd minute. The 100th career for the Englishman was a smart sliding finish from close range after his teammate Kaoru Mitoma kept the ball alive in the build-up.

Manchester United levelled up the scoreline at 1-1 in the 60th minute with Amad Diallo after he was played through by Noussair Mazroui. The winger managed to cut back to his left before unleashing a low powerful shot at goal, which was deflected in by a Brighton defender.
