English midfielder Jude Bellingham played well in Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Hoffenheim at home on Friday night. Captain Marco Reus’s 16th-minute goal was the difference maker between the two sides as Dortmund claimed the top spot in the points table. But, Bellingham despite not scoring or assisting won hearts with a heart-warming gesture in the middle of the game.
As Der BVB came on the defensive front for avoiding a late counter-attack goal, a young fan ran onto the field. The game was halted as authorities rushed to the middle for dealing with the pitch invader. Here, Bellingham comforted the young fan and walked him out to the stands as the crowd gave him a round of applause.

After the match, Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic was extremely happy with the win and pointed out the promise shown by his team in the first half. He then addressed the shortcomings in the second half as they had to scrape out a result.
"We put in a very good performance, especially in the first half. We knew TSG's strength in duels and we wanted to let them get into these duels too late by positioning ourselves very well and allowing the spaces to be wide for them. We created a lot of scoring chances and were able to keep our opponents far away from our own goal”, he said.
Terzic also lauded Hoffenheim for their efforts as he stated, “that was really good. We lost too many balls in the second half. The way we were very serious in our goal defence towards the end and dealt with the situation professionally:"
