B arcelona sealed off another clinical 3-0 victory over league rivals Sevilla. The Blaugrana didn’t start the game well but soon found their rhythm to win their third straight game in the Spanish top flight. This push was made thanks to the Barca front three who showed off some incredible skill and ability as they overcame early struggles and drew first blood with Raphinha’s opener.

15 minutes later, Barca’s other marquee summer signing in Robert Lewandowski doubled the lead against Sevilla. But the architect of this goal was French defender Jules Kounde, who put in floated in a pinpoint pass towards the Polish international who controlled the ball with poise and smashed it passed Yassine Bounou.

The Catalans soon went 3-0 up with defender Eric Garcia’s maiden goal to consolidate their second place in the La Liga. After the match, Barcelona manager Xavi was proud of his team’s performance. He said, “Pedri and Gavi have worked very well. It was a very physical game and the midfield had to work hard, as well as the wingers. I know what Ousmane is capable of, I like the way he plays, in attack, how he works in defence, he is supportive, and everyone at the top helps.”

Xavi also praised Lewandowski for his goal as he said, “Robert also works a lot. It’s not just the goal, it’s how he drops balls, controls, decides... how he orders high pressure. He’s a fantastic player. He helps us a lot. He has leadership. He helps everyone. He’s a winner. Humble. It’s great to have him on the team.”
