As the ODI World Cup 2023 in India is starting to light up the cricketing world on the field, some of the top cricketers are also adding to its charm off the field. In a viral video on X, the South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, and the captain of New Zealand, Kane Williamson, tried their hand at speaking some of the Indian languages in a hilarious manner.
The “flagship event of the international cricket calendar” has seen a lot of one-sided games in the last couple of weeks, with India, New Zealand, and South Africa, emerging as three of the top teams. The five-time world champions Australia are yet to win a fixture in the quadrennial spectacle, and the defending champions England suffered a humiliating loss by 69 runs against Afghanistan to break open the ODI World Cup 2023.

Talking about the viral video, Princy Parikh, the RJ of Radio Mirchi, was spotted with top cricketers, giving a line in an Indian language to them, before they completed it in a hilarious manner. In the first instance, she was quoted as saying, “Aa gaye hai pitch pe Kagiso Rabada,” to which the South African fast bowler responded, “O munda dil da ni maadaa.”

Then, Princy Parikh remarked, “Bangle mein bangla, Bangle mein pillar,” to which David Miller said, “Aa gaye hai pitch pe David Miller.” After she recited, “World Cup mein hoga jabbar hungama,” Kane Williamson was quoted as saying, “Laut chuke hai Kane Mama.”
Finally, the RJ said, “Ohho bhai kaai chhakko maaryo hai,” to which Sybrand Engelbrecht responded, “Mhaaro toh jee raaji ho gyo.”
