South African pacer Kagiso Rabada is undoubtedly one of the modern era greats in the game of cricket. The 26-year-old might not have been in the best of form in last year but he continued his impressive start to 2022, producing an exhibition of deadly fast bowling at Wanderers on Sunday. As South Africa turned up for the Pink ODI, it was a completely different side which featured in the previous match.

There were a few changes in personnel but the key difference was the comeback of old and fiery Kagiso Rabada in 2nd ODI. Having registered figures of 1/57 in 10 overs in series opener, the Proteas were hoping their leader of attack to step up on a day where they were desperate for a win to stay alive in the series. And well, Rabada certainly did not disappoint!

South African pacer wreaks havoc in Johannesburg

The right-arm pacer produced an exhibition of fast bowling on a wicket which had lot of speed and bounce. Rabada wreaked havoc in the middle and absolutely destroyed the batting line-up of Bangladesh. He took wickets of Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Yasir Ali, Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, registering his second 5-wicket haul in ODIs.

From surprising the batsmen with lethal pace and sudden bounce to deceiving them with slower ones, Rabada's variations proved to be too much on the day with Bangladesh batsman having no answers.

The pacer finished with outstanding bowling figures of 10-0-39-5 as Tamim Iqbal's side were restricted to 194/9 in 50 overs. The fans were delighted to see Rabada back to his best, showing his sheer class to everyone once again.

Notably, the pacer is set to miss the Test series against Bangladesh and will head to India after the white-ball series, where he will represent Punjab Kings in IPL 2022.
