On Friday, April 25, the five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match number 43 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. However, both the teams are coming into this match on the back of a defeat in their respective matches, both these teams will be vying to go all out as their tournament is close to an end in the IPL 2025.
After the SRH skipper, Pat Cummins won the toss, he decided to bowl first. Thus, inviting the hosts to bat first, CSK top order failed to go big as they were restricted to 50/3 at the end of powerplay overs. The wickets kept falling for the hosts as they were reduced to 107/4 in 12 overs and were handed another blow in the very next over.
Kamindu Mendis takes a blinder to dismiss Dewald Brevis in CSK vs SRH
With Pat Cummins re-introducing Harshal Patel into the attack, the Indian pacer dismissed Brevis, who was looking good in the middle and hit him for a six in the over. Patel opted to bowl a half-volley outside off on the fifth delivery of the over, which the South African batter lofted flat over long-off. As the ball flew over the bowler’s head, Kamindu Mendis went onto complete a stunning catch.
Known for his ambidextrous capability, Mendis showed great hands and went for a full stretch dive and tried to get his hands underneath the ball and produced a blinder. In the process, Mendis’ showcased his technique as he did not let his elbow hit the ground hard and later got up quickly to celebrate the priced wicket.

With this, CSK were handed another blow as they were reduced to 115/5 after 13 overs with Deepak Hooda joining Shivam Dube in the middle.
