As Sunrisers Hyderabad resumed their IPL 2021 campaign in Dubai on Wednesday, there wasn't any change in their fortunes as they had a dismal outing with the bat. After opting to bat first, SRH could only post a total of 134/9 in 20 overs as they had no answers to DC's brilliant bowling performance. As SRH came out to defend the low score, bowlers needed support of their fielders and it was their skipper who set the tone for everyone.
The opening duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw got their side off to a cautious start before the latter tried to up the ante in 3rd over of the innings, being bowled by Khaleel Ahmed. After smashing two boundaries in first four deliveries, Shaw tried to hit another big shot. However, he was completely deceived by Khaleel's slower one as he skied the ball up in the air.
Kane Williamson takes an outstanding catch
Although Shaw absolutely mistimed his shot, he had found enough contact to clear the 30-yard circle. It looked like that the ball would fall in no man's land and the DC opener might get away with it. However, SRH skipper Kane Williamson was in no mood to let go off this opportunity.
The 31-year-old, who was fielding at mid-on, ran quickly and covered lot of area. As it turned out, Williamson reached to the ball and grasped it beautifully with a diving effort, despite running backwards. And thanks to him, SRH got their first wicket of UAE leg of the tournament.

As soon as on-air commentator Sunil Gavaskar watched the moment, he quickly went back to nostalgia as he remembered the 1983 World Cup final where former Indian captain Kapil Dev took a similar catch to dismiss Viv Richards.
