The Indian Premier League has been all about the rising superstars over the years. As the young domestic talent rubs shoulders with some world class international players, the impact is such that even they can unleash their potential to the best of their abilities. The fear is gone nowadays and it has become a trend to see youngsters winning the game for their side.

In the UAE leg of IPL 2021, we have seen Ruturaj Gaikwad and Venkatesh Iyer stepping up to the occasion in first two matches for their respective franchises. However, what everyone got to see in match 33 on Wednesday was absolutely incredible to say the least.

As Punjab Kings were cruising towards the 186-run target set by Rajasthan Royals, there was no way anyone would have predicted what was about to happen in the final over. Sanju Samson handed the ball to 20-year-old pacer Kartik Tyagi who had the task to defend 4 runs off 6 deliveries. And much to everyone's surprise, the youngster managed to pull off the challenge, that too in some style!

Kartik Tyagi concedes only 1 run in 20th over

The right-arm pacer bowled one of the best-ever overs seen in the history of tournament as he conceded only 1 run while taking 2 wickets as well, to guide his side to a thrilling win. The final over unfolded as follows:

19.1 - Kartik bowled a low full-toss as Markram could only hit the shot straight towards the fielder, starting at extra cover. Dot ball 

19.2 - The pacer produced another yorker-length delivery as Markram edged the ball towards fine-leg region for a single. 1 run

19.3 - It was another delivery right in the block hole as Pooran edged the ball and Samson completed the catch. Wicket

19.4 - Kartik bowled another perfect yorker wide of Deepak Hooda who had moved around at the crease, resulting in umpire deeming the delivery as fair one. Dot ball

19.5 - The youngster produced another full-wide delivery on the next one and this time, Hooda found an edge with the ball going in the gloves of Samson. Wicket

19.6 - Kartik sealed the match with another perfect yorker as Fabian Allen failed to connect bat to ball as Samson collected the ball calmly. Dot ball

In such a high-scoring game, Kartik Tyagi ended the match with figures of 2/29 in 4 overs as he snatched victory for his side from jaws of defeat.
