An awkward incident took place after the historic Wimbledon Men’s singles final, in which Carlos Alcaraz defeated seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in a thrilling five-set match. Kate Middleton appeared to ignore one of the ball boys as she was proceeding towards the centre court for the post-match ceremony.
The Princess of Wales had the distinction of presenting the trophy to champion Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated legendary Novak Djokovic in an exciting five-set match. Kate strolled past a queue of young ball boys and girls as she headed out onto Centre Court, shaking their hands and occasionally striking up a discussion.

As she strolled towards the centre court for the ceremony, the first boy she passed, didn't get a handshake, which shocked spectators watching, as the young man kept his composure. Many people expressed their surprise at the probably unintended error on social media.

Along with her husband, Prince William, and children George and Charlotte, Kate, attended the grand slam. Since taking over for the late Queen Elizabeth II in this capacity six years ago, the princess has served as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
For the past two weeks, Kate has been one of the main attractions at the All England Club. The Royal received accolades for her incredible display of compassion on Saturday for defeated women's Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur. After suffering her second consecutive sad final loss, Kate hugged the sobbing Tunisian. She was also seen playing doubles, alongside another Wimbledon legend Roger Federer before the main draws of the tournament began.
