Although it is a familiar sight to see players celebrate after the fall of a wicket, the Indian Premier League showed a contrary visual during the dying stages of the match between SunRisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants. In what was the last over of the match, Lucknow got the wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar which almost sealed the deal in favour of Lucknow as they now needed a virtually impossible 14 from 2 balls off the bowling of Jason Holder.

However, the captain of the fielding team KL Rahul told his teammates not to celebrate the wicket. This might be surprising to see for many but in reality, this was because of the fact that Rahul wanted to complete the overs quickly. The Lucknow skipper was well aware that the game had extended beyond the 11 pm IST cutoff time which was the reason he was looking to rush the proceedings.

Check out Rahul's gesture here:

There have already been instances of a captain being fined for the same offence earlier and Rahul does not want to get reprimanded. While an official decision on the same will be taken by the match referee, for now, the ex-Punjab Kings opener would be happy with the fact that they managed to get the two points from the match after beating Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs.

The win was special for Lucknow because they were in a difficult situation after losing early wickets but Rahul's half-century along with Deepak Hooda's brisk fifty helped the team reach a competitive 169 before Avesh Khan and Jason Holder-led bowling effort ensured a win over the Orange Army.
