The second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23 is underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and both teams have kept the game evenly poised so far. While Australia have managed to put on partnerships, India have crawled back into the game with timely wickets. The Indian fielders, especially KL Rahul has complemented their bowlers really nicely.

Rahul has taken two catches so far in the first inning and both of them have been really good. While the opening batter first grabbed a travelling catch in slips, Rahul took a stunner while fielding at point to dismiss a well-set, Usman Khawaja. As the Australian batter tried to reverse sweep Ravindra Jadeja, he played it in the air. Khawaja had gotten his timing right but he could not place it well enough. 

Rahul who was more towards cover than point leapt to his right and stretched out his right hand to pluck the ball mid-air. Meanwhile, Khawaja was down on his knees in disbelief.

With this catch, Ravindra Jadeja took his first wicket in the match. Meanwhile, R Ashwin has continued to wreak havoc. After dismissing Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith within a span of three deliveries, Ashwin also sent back Alex Carey cheaply. The seasoned off-spinner got the wicketkeeper batter caught at first slip. 

The other two wickets have been taken by Mohammed Shami who dismissed David Warner and Travis Head.
