After getting suspended from the Indian gaming market for more than ten months under the Information Technology Act 2000 provisions, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is gearing up to make its much-anticipated return to the Indian gaming market. On May 19, 2023, Krafton announced the game’s relaunch with a few social media posts on the title’s official handles. The CEO of Krafton India Sean Hyunil Sohn had announced that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will soon resume operations in India and will be soon available for downloads. It is believed to be available in the end of May month or first week of June. As the esport lovers are gearing up for the unban, Krafton has featured the trailer of BGMI on its new YouTube channel.
A few days before the re-release of the BGMI, Krafton has featured a short clip of the BGMI trailer on its new video channel. In a video posted by the channel, namely ‘Krafton India Esports’, fans can catch a glimpse of the upcoming revamped esport. The clip gives a sneak peek of how the game is going to look like, and what all fans can expect from it. Notably, back in March, there were talks that Krafton would make some changes to the game, and it has been assured to the Indian government that the BGMI won’t have blood, and its colour will be changed.

Not only this, but Krafton is also expected to put a time limit on the game, and one won’t be able to access the game for 24 hours as there will be some restrictions on hours of playing. In addition to this, the authorities have also asked Krafton to make the game less addictive, so that there are less cases of suicides. Apart from that, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India has given his confirmation that the game will be first available for three months, during which the Indian authorities will keep a close check on the game regarding its effects.
