The Men in Blue are having a dream start to the ODI World Cup 2023. The Rohit Sharma-led side, who were invited to field first were back in the game, courtesy Ravindra Jadeja’s three wickets in quick succession. Kuldeep Yadav also finished with the figures of 2/42 in the 10 overs he bowled.

While he dismissed David Warner in the 17th over of the inning, his second came in 36th over when he dismissed Glenn Maxwell with a peach delivery. Maxwell, who was on strike made an error as he tried to pull the short but knocked over leg-stump, falling off Kuldeep Yadav.

Talking about the match, Team India bundled out Australia at 199 in 49.3 overs. While Ravindra Jadeja clinched three wickets finishing with the figures of 3/28 in his 10 overs, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav got two wickets each. Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Ravichandran Ashwin took a wicket each.
Talking about Australia, none of the players could breach the 50-run mark with Steven Smith finishing as the highest scorer (46) for the side.
