India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav who is currently a part of India A and playing in the three-match series against New Zealand A took a hat-trick in the second unofficial ODI of the three-match series between the two teams.

Yadav struck thrice in the 47th over of the New Zealand A innings. Overall, the spinner took four wickets in the game and helped India A bundle out the opposition for a paltry 219.

The Chinaman bowler bagged the wickets of Logan van Beek, Joe Walker and Jacob Duffy in the 47th over of the innings.  First, he got Logan van Beek out caught by Prithvi Shaw on the fourth ball of the 47th over.

Then on the next ball, Kuldeep also walked Joe Walker. Walker's catch was caught by captain and wicketkeeper Sanju Samson. On the last ball, Kuldeep completed a hat-trick by lbw to Jacob Duffy. Kuldeep took four wickets for 51 runs in 10 overs.

This is not the first time Yadav has bagged a hat-trick in white-ball cricket. The spinner has taken a hat-trick twice in One Day Internationals. In the year 2017, Kuldeep bagged a hat-trick against Australia in Kolkata. After this, in 2019, he achieved this feat against West Indies as well.

Prithvi Shaw and other batters help India chase the total

Coming to the batting, it was a clinical chase for the Men in Blue. Prithvi Shaw led the charge for India A as the batter scored 77 runs off just 48 balls. The swashbuckling batter hit eleven fours and three sixes in his innings. After Shaw fell, India A kept losing wickets at regular intervals but there were a few good partnerships as well. Resultantly, the Sanju Samson-led team chased down the total in 34 overs with four wickets in hand.
