Los Angeles Lakers are experiencing a horrific NBA 2022-23 season as they have managed to loss all of their five starting games as Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Lakers 111-102 on Friday night. During the game, Lakers guard Russell Westbrook lost his shoe while taking a rebound but continued playing for a minute.

The Lakers faced their fifth defeat of the season as the Wolves big three Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 72 points to help their team win against LeBron James' Lakers.

The incident took place at the Target Center when around five minutes are left in the first quarter of the game. Russell Westbrook tried to convert an offensive rebound into a basket but couldn't complete it and lost his shoe as Towns or Edwards appeared to step on his shoe during the jump. The 33-year-old guard continued playing without a shoe for almost a minute.

Lakers centre Anthony Davis was rested for the game while LeBron James (28) scored the highest individual score for his team with seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Russell Westbrook scored 18 points in the game with eight rebounds and three assists. However, their efforts felt short in front of the in-form Wolves, who registered their fourth victory in six matches.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards dropped highest points in the game with 29 points followed by Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, who scored 22 points and made 21 rebounds. Apart from them, Anthony Towns registered 21 points and made eight rebounds and seven assists to help his team beat the Lakers.
