After losing their starting three preseason games, Los Angeles Lakers have registered their first win against the defending champions Golden State Warriors on Monday morning. Lakers center or power forward Anthony Davis came out as the scoring leader in the match and helped the Lakers win 121-124 at the Chase Center.

After missing 42 games in the last season due to ankle and knee injury, Anthony Davis suffered a wrist injury in Lakers' first preseason game against Sacramento Kings on October 4. However, the 29-year-old Davis recorded a dominating game on his return against the Dubs.

Anthony Davis' shooting was on another level while the Lakers star also displayed an appreciating defensive performance. Davis scored a total of 28 points in 21 minutes of his appearance on the court and managed to hit two three-pointers and made three assists and rebounds each.

Davis was the star in the victory for the Purple and Gold team while his teammates, guard Kendrick Nunn registered 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds, and forward Matt Ryan scored 20 points.

On the other side, Warriors shooting guard Jordan Poole displayed an all-around performance as he scored 25 points, made six assists, 4 rebounds, two steals and a block while reigning MVP Steph Curry registered 24 points, four rebounds and assists each.
