Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has finally broken the 39-year-old NBA regular season scoring leader record by the legendary, Kareem Abdul Jabbar. During the Tuesday night game against Oklahoma City Thunder at the Crypto.com Arena, the four-time NBA champion become the leading scorer in the NBA history in the third quarter of the game.

LeBron was just 36 points away to surpass great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar when he entered the Tuesday night game.

The former leading scorer record holder, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was in the attendance to watch LeBron create history and the former Laker great stood up and appreciated the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

After breaking Kareem's record in the presence of legendary players like the former leading scorer, Magic Johnson among others, LeBron thanked the Lakers fans and acknowledged Kareem's greatness.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar handed the game ball to LeBron as a signal of becoming the all-time leading scorer in the NBA.

While James was presented with the game ball by the former Lakers legend, the 38-year-old star appeared to fight back hiss tears. After being the all-time Playoffs leading scorer, King James has now become the all-time regular season scoring leader in the NBA history.
