The South African cricketer, Keshav Maharaj, and the members of the Lucknow Super Giants squad visited the Shree Ram Temple in the historic city of Ayodhya, to seek the divine blessings of God. The spiritual sojourn of the Lucknow Super Giants, which was shared on their official Instagram account, happened just days before the IPL 2024 is set to begin.

Notably, Keshav Maharaj had expressed his desire to visit the Shree Ram Temple in Ayodhya earlier this year. While talking to Sports Tak, he also spoke about how the schedule didn’t allow him to visit the temple when it was inaugurated on January 22.

In the video from Lucknow Super Giants, Keshav Maharaj was accompanied by Deepak Hooda, Ravi Bishnoi, head coach Justin Langer, and fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, at the Shree Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The South African cricketer shared his experience of the visit and said, “The feelings you get when you walk into a mandir or a temple, I suppose you feel the vibrations of Lord Ram upon you. As you enter, there is a good energy and aura around everything.”

Keshav Maharaj also took to his official Instagram account to share a candid picture of himself at the Shree Ram Temple, captioning it, “Jai Shree Raam, Blessings to everyone.”

Moreover, Keshav Maharaj is not in the official Lucknow Super Giants squad for the IPL 2024, he is currently in India to train with them in the nets instead. The official press release about the involvement of Keshav Maharaj with Lucknow Super Giants read, “While Keshav Maharaj, who's also a Super Giant in the SA20, will train alongside the squad during the season, he will not be part of our official squad. However, his presence during the entire season is bound to inject positive energy into the group.”
