The quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions league are underway at the venues like Munich, Manchester, and Madrid. In a recent viral video on Twitter, One of the most celebrated footballers Luis Suarez is hogging the limelight as he avoided walking on the Man City badge while entering the Etihad Stadium.

It all happened ahead of a quarter-final fixture in the Champions League, where the Atletico Madrid headed clashed with the Manchester City. The footballer is getting lauded for his efforts to not step the foot on the badge and keep it unblemished. The official handle of the UEFA Champions league posted the video and captioned it, "Luis Suarez. Respect.”.

In the pre-match training, Suarez along with his team-mates Rodrigo de Paul and Angel Correa avoided walking on the coveted badge as well.

However, Suarez could not do well in the quarter-final fixture, as the team crashed out of the tournament after sustaining a loss to Man City by 0-1 at Etihad Stadium.

Suarez unimpressed with Barcelona’s performance against Frankfurt

The recent quarter-finals of the Europa League 2022 between Barcelona and Frankfurt ended as a draw with both teams scoring a single goal. The former Barcelona star Luis Suarez spoke on Barcelona’s average performances in the game and asked youngsters to do better.

“Luckily Frankfurt are an average club because they could have put three or four past us,” he grumbled. “It was an inexplicable game, nothing went well and nobody reacted. On top of not running, they didn’t play and that is very serious. It seems like youngsters aren’t taking control, they need to take the initiative more.”
