The transfer window is wide open and there are all sorts of shuffling that is happening before the start of the 2022-23 season. The latest name to undergo a change in sides is Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukraine International became the fifth signing of Manchester City's Premier League rivals Arsenal which ended all sorts of speculations regarding his future.

Both Zinchenko and City shared a farewell message for each other on their social media. While Zinchenko had posted it earlier, confirming his exit from City, the reigning Premier League champions posted a video after the 25-year-old's transfer had been confirmed.

The footballer had too shared a short clip with the caption 'forever in my heart' as a tribute to his stint at the Etihad Stadium. City too reciprocated similar sentiments and captioned a video depicting his journey by captioning: "Thank you, Oleks ? #ManCity."

Meanwhile, Arsenal has expressed pleasure on managing to get Zinchenko on board. The Gunners manager Mikel Arteta said: "We’re so happy Alex has joined us. He’s a player that I personally know really well and continued to follow him after my time at Manchester City. Alex is a high-quality player who will give us options and versatility."

"It's not only about the positions he can play but as well, the versatility he will give us in attack and defence. Alex is a person with great human qualities and character, and I’m delighted that everyone has made this huge effort to bring Alex to the club," he added as per the official release.

Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira are the other signings that Arsenal have made in this summer window.
