The ongoing series between Australia Women and India Women has witnessed some great moments of cricketing brilliance. While there was a moment of poetic justice for veteran India pacer Jhulan Goswami as she failed to seal a win in one ODI and scored the winning runs in other, there have been some great innings from the Aussies as well.

Later in the T20I, Shikha Pandey delivered what is being regarded by many as the "ball of the century" as she sent send Alyssa Healy back to the pavilion in the second T20I. However, it was in the ongoing third ODI that Meg Lanning became a victim of an unfortunate dismissal.

While at first glimpse, it looked like Lanning had sent the final ball of the 7th over of the Australian innings being bowled by Rajeshwari Gayakwad to the off-side fence, the India wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh showed some signs of excitement.

Later replays confirmed that while Lanning had placed her short perfectly between point and cover for a boundary, she actually went back too deep inside her crease and dislodged the bails of her own stump to get hit wicket.

Check out what happened here:

The incident brought an end to the Australian batter's innings for 14 from 14 deliveries which included 2 boundaries.

The hosts are currently 1-0 up in the three-match series with the final T20I underway at Carrara Stadium, Queensland. While the first T20I was abandoned midway due to rain, it was the Aussies who eventually clinched the second T20I. Thanks to Pooja Vastrakar's 26-ball 37, India had managed to post 118/9 in their 20 overs. Later, however, Tahlia McGrath's unbeaten 42 helped the home team chase the target down with 4 wickets in hand and 5 balls remaining.

In the ongoing finale of the series, McGrath is looking good at the moment along with Wareham. Beth Mooney has been among the top scorers in the ongoing match for the hosts with a knock of 61 off 43 deliveries.
