It is widely being reported that the Mumbai Indians haven't had as great an auction as they are known to have. While that is said to be the general consensus among many former cricketers and cricketing pundits, the fact remains that the five-time champions have invested in players like Tim David and Dewald Brewis who can be out and out match-winners in their own right.

In a recent video, South African batter Dewald Brevis could be seen hitting a no-look shot with such ease and grace that one cannot take one's eyes off it. The Proteas star, who is known as "Baby AB" for similarities in his game with the batting legend from the rainbow country AB de Villiers, was one of the highlights of the U-19 World Cup this year.

In fact, he ended up as the competition's leading run-scorer with 506 runs in six innings at an average of 84.33, with the help of two centuries and three half-centuries.

While MI may not have a solid squad full of world-renowned players this year, it is also true that Blue and Gold Brigade are known for making and nurturing their players as much as having already established stars. If Brevis can impress at the nets with his shots, who knows he can perhaps be drafted into the Playing XI and turn out to be a great return on an investment of INR 3 crores.

MI will play their season opener against Delhi Capitals on March 27. This will be the first-afternoon match of the season with the first ball of this game set to be bowled at 3:30 pm (IST).
