After a break as the game resumed, India got another wicket in their tally as Mohammed Shami bowled a ripper to dismiss in-form batter Marnus Labuschagne. In no time fans flooded social media to compare this wicket to be similar to BJ Watling’s in last WTC Final, which took place in 2021.
In the last edition of WTC Final, Shami kept the pressure and bowled a jaffa to remove New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter BJ Watling for one run. However, in the ongoing edition, Shami striked in his very first ball of the second session of Day 1 which went right to clip the off stump.
