Cricket is a really competitive game and with changing times, it is getting more intense. Players try to outdo their competitors when they take the field. With the introduction of franchise cricket, fans get to see some interesting battles as well. However, there are moments in the game that leave fans bemused and also win hearts.
One such moment took place in Match 43 of IPL 2022 where Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are locking horns. Gujarat pacer Mohammed Shami won the hearts of cricket fans with his beautiful gesture after RCB batter Virat Kohli completed his first half-century of the season.
In the 13th over of the RCB innings, Kohli nudged a full ball from Shami for a single and reached the 50-run mark. Knowing the importance of the knock, Shami patted Kohli on his shoulder and put his arm around his neck.

Although Shami congratulated Kohli for his fighting knock, the bowler did not forget his duty towards his team as he got the batter out in his next over. In his fourth over, Shami knocked out Kohli with a brilliant yorker. On the fourth delivery of the 17th over, Kohli backed to make some room and carve the ball towards the third man boundary but Shami was spot on with his line and length and hit the off-stump to send Kohli back and save Gujarat from Kohli carnage.

Meanwhile, Kohli looked devastated after missing out on an opportunity to score big. Although he got a half-century, he did not look completely satisfied with his knock. The batter departed after scoring 58 runs off 53 balls. He scored six boundaries and a six in his innings of 58.
