This IPL season has seen a lot of speculation regarding Dhoni and his possible retirement with MSD stepping down as CSK captain.
Hence with every passing game, the suspense builds about whether this will be the last we see of the Captain Cool. So fans have heavily attended every Super Kings, hoping to catch one glimpse of MS Dhoni. But the 2011 World Cup winner has seemingly enjoyed his time in IPL 2024 as he often comes out to bat in the final few overs and shows off evergreen hitting ability to wow his supporters.

Coming to MS Dhoni's possible retirement, CSK batting coach Michael Hussey spoke about the mystery around MSD's future. But the former Aussie international expressed that he hopes Dhoni plays for a few more years.
Speaking on the "He is still batting so well. He does prepare well - he gets into the camp very early and hits a lot of balls. He has been in good touch all season really. I guess we just got to try to manage him from the body side of things. He had a knee surgery after the last season. So he has been managing that from the initial stage of the tournament."
"From a personal point of view, I hope he keeps going for another couple of years. But we will just have to wait and see. He is the only one who will make that call. And he likes to sort of build the drama a little bit as well. So I wouldn't expect a decision anytime soon."
