The former CSK captain, MS Dhoni, was spotted limping on his arrival to the team hotel after his batting heroics against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He smashed three maximums on the first three balls of his innings, scoring 20 off four balls, which proved to be the ultimate difference between the two sides.
The latest rendition of the Mumbai Indians versus Chennai Super Kings blockbuster in the IPL had everything a cricket fan wanted on a Sunday night. The captain of Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube scored an enterprising fifty for their team, to set up a commanding score of 206/4 in their allotted overs.
In the run chase, Mumbai Indians had a strong beginning, courtesy of the opening stand of 70 runs between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. But, CSK came roaring back into the game through two wickets in three balls from their star bowler Matheesha Pathirana.
After a 60-run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma for the third wicket, the batting innings for Mumbai Indians stalled in front of some quality bowling from the CSK pacers and spinners alike. The Indian captain completed his second hundred in the IPL in the last over, but his innings couldn’t help MI get over the line, losing the match by 20 runs.
Following a great day at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the CSK players and support staff came back to their team hotel, but in the viral video on X, MS Dhoni was spotted limping on his left leg. He also had a calf and shin brace in his left leg for support.
