Virat Kohli’s love affair with Australia has continued as the Indian batter has already scored three half-centuries in four games at the T20 World Cup 2022. Playing against Bangladesh on Wednesday (2 November) at the Adelaide Oval, Kohli scored 64* runs off 44 balls. The batter looked really confident in his inning as he hit eight boundaries and one six. His partnerships with KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and R Ashwin helped the team score 184/6 in their 20 overs.

For a batter, who was struggling to score runs in two digits throughout the year, Kohli has completely turned things around ever since he returned from a break. He scored runs in Asia Cup 2022 and now Kohli has continued his good form at the T20 World Cup 2022. The 33-year-old has already amassed over 200 runs at the showpiece event.

With the T20 World Cup 2022 being staged in Australia, Kohli was expected to pile up runs considering his phenomenal numbers in the country. The Indian middle-order batter has scored runs on venues across Australia but he has an unbelievable record at the Adelaide Oval which he bettered with a half-century on Wednesday. And as Kohli added 64 more runs to his already big tally of 843 runs at Adelaide Oval, MS Dhoni’s old video about the batter has resurfaced.

In the video, Dhoni is heard saying that the Adelaide Cricket board will be soon naming a stand at the stadium after Kohli the way he is scoring runs. “They will be naming a stand after Virat Kohli in Adelaide, the way he is scoring runs there,” Dhoni says. ‘

For the unversed, Kohli has now scored 907 runs in 10 matches across formats at the Adelaide Oval. In two T20Is he has played, the batter has remained unbeaten scoring 154 runs.
