Liverpool were all over Manchester City's defence as Darwin Nunez gets his first competitive goal for the Reds to seal the Community Shield for his team on Saturday at Leicester's King Power stadium. Apart from Nunez, Man City's Julian Alvarez also scored his debut goal for the club.

The deadlock was broken by Liverpool's right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who scored a fantastic curler from the edge of the box in the 21st minute. Liverpool managed a 1-0 lead by the end of the half-time as Manchester City's new star signing Erling Haaland missed two chances to score the opening goal for his side in the 34th minute.

Later, Manchester City's new forward Julian Alvarez scored an equaliser in the 70th minute as he scored a rebound after Phil Foden was denied by the Liverpool goalkeeper.
