South Africa are currently on a tour of New Zealand. The first Test match of this tour is currently being played in Christchurch. The visitors are already on the back foot in this game, with the hosts looking to run away with the game after the Proteas were not only dismissed for a mere 95 runs in the first innings but are already 3 wickets down for 34 at stumps on Day 2. However, far away from this game, an old clip is doing the rounds on social media involving the same two teams.

The said video is reportedly from 2017. In this viral clip, Kiwi fielder Tom Latham can be seen changing his position before the batter has made contact with the ball. It is his promptness that allows him to reach the ball which was otherwise placed perfectly by the striker Faf du Plessis. However, a clean catch from Latham means the South African had to depart.

Check out the viral video here:

While Latham is leading the Blackcaps Test team with regular captain Kane Williamson still recovering from an injury, Du Plessis hasn't been active in the international cricketing arena lately. With the two teams once against playing Test cricket, the old video has gone viral.

As far as the match is concerned, the hosts are in a pretty comfortable position. Matt Henry's 7 for 23 did help Kiwis bowl, South Africa, out for 95. In response, the home team posted 482 runs with Henry Nicholls scoring a century and Tom Blundell (96) and Henry (58) chipping in with half-centuries.

By the end of the day's play on Day 2, the Kiwis even managed to take three wickets with Tim Southee scalping 2 for 20. Henry took the other wicket to fall on the day.

Henry's figures of 7/23 is the joint-best ever by a New Zealander at home and the joint-third best overall.

"You've got to kind of pinch yourself a little bit when you hear those stats and to be able to share that with Sir Richard Hadlee is pretty special," Henry said after the end of day's play on Thursday.
