Oman batter Kashyap Prajapati recreated Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's sword celebration in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 fixture against Zimbabwe. After winning the toss and putting the Chevrons to bat, Oman had a poor bowling effort as they conceded 333 runs. Sean Williams starred in the first inning and put up an impressive 142 in 103 balls.
Chasing this mammoth total, Oman got off to a troubled start as they lost the opener Jatinder Singh in the fifth over. Carrying the team from 29-1, PPrajapati and Aqib Ilyas, stitched up a massive 116-run partnership. After this crucial stand, Kashyap Prajapati reached his milestone and brought out Ravindra Jadeja's sword celebration.

But despite this century, Oman fell short of the 333-run target by 14 runs as they were restricted to 318-7 at the end of 50 overs. Reacting to this loss, Oman captain Zeeshan Maqsood said, "We didn’t do well while fielding dropped catches and were sloppy. Gave 30-40 runs extra. Second half Prajapati and Aqib played very well, we lost too many wickets in the middle phase of the chase and that’s why we couldn't finish it off."
" We knew there was a long and short side, that’s what we were targeting. Between 35-45 overs, we messed it up. It’s a hamstring injury, I need to go to the doctor and have it checked before the future games. We were going really well, getting boundaries at will and if I didn’t get the injury at that moment maybe we could have chased this down."
